To her were not only people obedient, but also non-rational animals, like the cat. Because it was told to her once that the cat had a habit of eating up the rats, and that it would get sick from doing this. Then Salome forbade the cat from eating them anymore, but that it should bring them to her. The cat was obedient to her and did not eat them anymore but brought them into the dining hall and laid them at Mother Salome’s place where she used to sit. And not only did the cat bring in rats, but also moles.
